TODAY WE MADE SOME GOOD PROGRESS.........

First we're dong some work on the inside, floors, walls, furniture, and we knocked down the huge planter in the front of the building, and we'll give the outside a fresh coat of paint.
Today, a good friend of ours, George Dow, Owner of George Dow Construction,  {Shout out to George} came today and knocked down the planters and hauled them away.  Its a big difference, you definitely notice the building more.

Here we are, breaking ground, we already painted the office, just so we feel at home.  Next we will be painting the walls in the dining room, ripping up the floor and gong to architectural salvage yards, looking for some unique pieces to make tables and chandeliers. Maybe a Chandelier made from Old Caddy Car Parts, you never know what you'll find junk yard diving!!!!  We're going to try and recycle and re-purpose, all that is auto..especially "Cadillac"...Until we have some new pics..as we document the ride......

Construction "FINALLY" Taking Place Next Door

So one of the concerns about opening up our vacant building, was that the building next door was boarded up and overgrown, which makes our building look closed, if your heading towards Elizabeth on Morris Avenue.

But not anymore, as of today they started construction for a new 7 11.  Thats great for us, because this corner has looked out of commission for years, so if we all band together and open, there will really be alot of action around  2258 Morris Avenue, which will create quite the Buzz..and thats a good thing.

So this is what we look like as of now.  But we are currently in the process of getting some finances to give this dated building a much needed face lift.  Depending on how many banks we hit up, will determine how much work we can do.  We have lots of great ideas, for the interior and exterior, and we dont want to compromise our vision.  If we get a little money, we will start the inside, then open the business, and as all you "great patrons" support us, we will start construction on the exterior.  But for now we are perfecting the menu, creating some cool functional art for the decor, and tuning up our 68' Cadillac for the Ride of Its Life.
